HISTORICAL NEWBERRY TOUR DETAILS



WHEN: Tours are usually offered quarterly on a Saturday. 


TIME:  Tours usually start at 3:00pm and end around 5:45pm.


DURATION:  Approximately 3 hours in length.


MEET:  Locations vary and will be announced prior to the tour.


PARKING:  Parking in Newberry is free, and there are several parking lots behind the buildings that line Main Street.


WEATHER:  Tours take place rain or shine.


DRESS:  Wear casual and comfortable shoes and clothing.


CAPACITY:  ​13 people per tour group


FOOD:  ​Tasting stops are scheduled at Figaro Dining Room, Half Full Coffee and Wine Bar, Steelhorse Smokehouse, Steven W's Bistro,  and Bar Figaro or Corner Scoop. (Stops may change without notice.)


EACH TICKET ENTITLES YOU TO THE FOLLOWING: 
  • A friendly Two Gals & a Fork task master who makes sure you are not late to the table!
  • A knowledgeable tour guide with loads of cultural & historical anecdotes.
  • All food tastings (enough for a meal for most people)
  • Loads of fun

FOOD SUBS:  Food restrictions can be addressed with advance notice.


​TIPPING: If you have a wonderful experience, Meg gratefully accepts gratuities.
Two Gals and a Fork Food Tours offers historic walking and tasting tours in Newberry. Local resident, Meg Muir, will share Newberry's rich history while you savor and experience tastings from five of Newberry's wonderful restaurants and bars. The tour runs approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and will leave you stuffed with delicious food and full of fun historical facts!
